Safu (Dacryodes edulis), also called African plum or bush butter fruit, is a beloved staple from Central and West Africa — especially in Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, and Nigeria. Each bag contains 1 kg of whole African plums, known for their creamy, buttery texture when cooked and their deep purple-green skin.
Traditionally boiled or roasted in salted water and eaten as a snack or alongside corn, plantain, or cassava. Safu is rich in healthy fats, protein, and vitamins — a nutritious and deeply satisfying fruit with an earthy, subtly savory flavor unlike anything else.
Storage & Shipping: Keep frozen until ready to use. To prepare: boil in salted water for 10–15 minutes until tender, or roast over an open flame. Ships via express shipping only to preserve quality.
